The Interfaith Seminary Find-a-minister
Training ministers in an inclusive global spirituality
Interfaith ministers have all undertaken The Interfaith Seminary's two-year training programme and been ordained as ministers. They offer the following services:
- Wedding blessings – also Handfastings, a more traditional type of ceremony
- Funeral services – and Memorial services
- Naming ceremonies – usually for newborn children
- Other blessings – for a house, business, birthday, anniversary etc
- Universal worship services – for everyone, from any faith tradition or none
- Healing services - for everyone, from any faith tradition or none
- Spiritual counselling – with individuals and couples
In each case, the minister will work closely with you to create a ceremony that reflects your needs and beliefs. Their aim will be to design a ceremony that reflects your sources of inspiration – in readings, music, songs and prayers for example. They are happy to work with your suggestions, and/or to make suggestions that you can choose from.
These ceremonies are tailor-made, and therefore require more preparation time than may be the case with services offered by some other ministers/celebrants. Most ministers will charge within this range of costs:
Funerals £150 – £250Weddings £300 – £500Naming ceremonies £150 – £300
Each minister will clarify their charges in their initial conversation with you, including any additional expenses such as travel.
